Rebecca Hayes (she/her) is an artist, illustrator, designer & educator based in Naarm/Melbourne. She teaches in the School of Design at RMIT University.

Passionate about visual storytelling, her multidisciplinary creative practice spans animation, illustration, production design, installation, comics, graphic design, media arts, and AV design. She has directed, designed and created multi-faceted animated content for broadcast, online publications, museums, exhibitions, site-specific installations, and mainstage theatre productions. Her animated works utilise a range of techniques encompassing drawing, collage, photography, stop motion, and cut-outs. Her award-winning animated short The Show has screened extensively across Australia and overseas.

Rebecca is also one-third of The Sisters Hayes, theatre designers and cross-disciplinary artists who have exhibited their work in a wide variety of commercial and artist-run galleries and public spaces throughout Melbourne.
